Boomkat Product Review:
Mad-wired bass mutants from Mala's Deep Medi stable. Mizz Beats previously made her presence felt on the anthemic 'Purple Love' with Silkie but asserts herself as an unique solo prospect with the untested formula of 'My World', riding out at 118bpm with noisy, Mala-styled percussion offset with G-Funked 8-Bit melodies. Better yet is 'The Jester' on the flip, bouncing wonky patterned bass and flappy claps in a loose-but-funk R'n'B style while woozy synthlines make her sound something like Ikonika on mushies. I'm hoping not to make any sweeping generalisations here, but perhaps it's her feminine disposition that gives the production a smooth rounded and dare I say it, Pink feel, taking off the go-hard edge of so many other dubstep productions while not losing any of the weight or 'floor-friendly impact. Dope 12".
