Boomkat Product Review:
"14 highly charged currents of latter-day electro-magnetic poly-pop, robotic rock and modern mechanical music featuring unreleased electronic music for Atari Videogames, Swiss Construction companies and low-budget Eastern film productions alongside unknown and undercover synth driven rarities by members of Can, Hawkwind, Niagara, Soft Machine, Dynastie Crisis, Gong and Nucleus. Compiled from a well travelled DJ bag of inhumane B-Music and international second-class sound by Saxonic wax magnet Andy Votel (Finder Keepers)including full length tracks from his acclaimed vintage voltage mixtape." Some real peachy gear on this amidst a few dippy, so-so-psyche-funk-with-electronics bits. Recipient of a recent Finders Keepers collection, Suzanne Ciani, provides some of the highlights - the delirious ident 'Sounds Of Wetness' and the all-too-brief 'Atari Corporate Tag', while Pakistan's Ilaiyaraaja comes correct with the steppin' breakbeats and twanging exotica of 'Yaaro Sonnaangalaam'. Las Trillizas De Oro's popcorn cover 'Pochoclo' is terrific, as is Bruno Spoerri's concrete commercial 'Baustellenmusik', and we're also very partial to a bit of Cybotron's sci-fi scene-setter 'Gods Of Norse', and we can imagine a lot of heads will lose their heads to Rod Hunter's electrified 'Apache' version.
