Boomkat Product Review:
Meat Beat Manifesto's Jack Dangers releases 'Music For Planetarium' as his third album of material recorded under his own name, released in conjunction with Autoimmune, the new album from his main channel of work, the aforementioned Meat Beat Manifesto. This beautiful, hand-assembled (and of course, highly limited) package contains forty-five minutes of dystopian, astronomically themed tape music, originally composed for the T.I.T. planetarium in Budapest. There's a definite vintage electronics feel to all this, and each piece drones effectively through dark, muffled ambiences, very much in the mode of Lustmord, but with an added dimension of ancient equipment projecting all the music in a muted, sinister fashion. A real treat for followers of electroacoustic gloom.
