Boomkat Product Review:
Core Posh Isolation players, Loke Rahbek (Vår, Lust For Youth) and Kristian Emdal (Vår, Age Coin) present five pieces of brooding, brittle electronics imagined for dance performance and recorded between Copenhagen's Mayhem space and Sweden's EMS facility. We're not quite sure what kind of "dance" performance they had in mind but, knowing their prurient minds, we could apply the rear cover's instructions "carpet of crushed sea shells covering parts of the floor", "copper thread in a knot around the performer's genitals", or "white clothes and bare feet" to any number of situations from the gallery to a private space, school hall and beyond. The pieces range from fluid expanses of arcing T2-style drones and prickling hi-end patterns thru icy ceramic resonance, to pulsating industrial zones and sensual, aerated ambient tones.
