Boomkat Product Review:
Rochdale's very own Dickensian techno prodigy pays tribute to the ill fated house of madness on the ace 'Moss Lane east EP' for Sheffield's Dust Science recordings. The aptly titled 'Dust to Dust' is a fuzzy 4/4 jacker embedded within a labrynthine maze of filters and FX, prime tech house coming on like an even more inebriated Radio Slave production. 'Lakeside' clenches the jaw with a far tougher jack sound, laying down the law for struggling bodies attempting to find a groove, while 'Dumtek' doses itself with some wonky Chicago business in killer style. 'Dig' rounds out the EP by diving head first into a Teutonic techno shaped hole populated by riffing electro bass and a sparklingly soulful synthline to pay fitting tribute to a dark little corner of Manchester revered by many twisted minds. Only fools and horses eh?
