More Human Than Human Remix EP (ISAN & SOULTEK MIXES)
More Human than Human? Wasn't that a White Zombie track? Now I'm pretty sure it was, and let me tell you I've crowdsurfed to White Zombie more than most, so I should damn well know. Ignoring the metal heritage of the name Mr. Microcosm himself Ezekiel Honig proceeds to get his mates to remix a track of his by this name (which curiously avoids the distorted tech-metal approach of Zombie's version) and has come up with a very lovely EP in the process. The EP kicks off with two very different remixes from Soultek, one a smooth housey number which some might say is 'for the ladies' and one a dubbier, glitchier cut for the guys with horn rimmed spectacles who might not actually 'go' to club nights but certainly blog about them. Next up though, beckoning us into the B-Side are the ever reliable ISAN who turn Honig's original track into a bubbling analogue beauty, replete with all the token ISANisms we've come to know and love. As if this wasn't already enough, Honig turns in his own re-edit to round off the EP and shows why he's at the helm of this great label. Awesome stuff...
