Boomkat Product Review:
The Jheri Tracks series shapes up nicely with a debut 12” of rotten, trippy techno and post-punk bangers by Dublin-based lynchpin Frank Sweeney a.k.a. Frank B in his Sias outfit.
Like his radio shows and residency at the city’s Twisted Pepper, these 3 cuts skid across the lanes from discordant deep techno hustle sounding like a cranky, lo-fi E.R.P. in Daba thru to nervy, hot-stepping no wave with the Powell or Beau Wanzer-esque 4-7-8, and with one cracked-out techno buzz in the zig-zagging synths and slugging groove on Milk Harbour, cut louder, punchier for the flip.
