Boomkat Product Review:
Impey scythes thru the current grime field with his fully fledged label debut for Astral Black after a couple of ace compilation appearances.
Fresh out of London, the 22 year old producer is cooking some of the hottest graze we’ve heard form the capital in a minute, scaling from cinematic drama in the scene-setting Midnight In Little Havana to knead ballroom, grime and bassline into the stickiest sauce with Pep Talk, and a massive swipe of tranced-out trap in Bleepz.
But if you’re looking to spanner the ‘floor, then the nose drip chromatics and unruly groove of The Png Song is a must check, whilst Inner exemplifies his versatility at a lusher R&G angle.
No wonder everyone from Skepta to Faze Miyake, Murlo and Slimzee have jumped on or played these cuts. They’re massive.
