Boomkat Product Review:
I know what you're thinking - why do I need another EP of clicky minimal techno? Well you obviously haven't heard Ernesto Ferreyra's latest, because despite being, well, clicky minimal techno - it's got more innovation than I've heard in a while. Using samples of Spanish vocals, guitars and what sounds like pop songs (maybe?) he proceeds to put together some rather bass-heavy dancefloor stormers. Just flip over to 'Cloody' which sounds like Uk garage put through a German techno filter - it's quite odd indeed and when that bass drops you'd be hard pushed not to move your skinny ass. Rounding the whole thing up is an almost pop-ambient styled cut too, with some luscious reverberating acoustic guitar layered over an unusual beat structure - lovely.
