Boomkat Product Review:
L.I.E.S. Bookworm Nik Dawson adds the DJ prefix for a wild-ass No Wave techno ride on Roland 606, 808, and Alpha Juno 1. Quite unlike his classy Bookworms doses on L.I.E.S. and Confused House, there are nasty, distorted bangers built for destruction. 'Mechanism' sounds something like Delroy Edwards doing Gabber, weilding blown-out bass and deep fried machine drum clatter with febrile, reckless regard for the dancefloor's safety. 'Photogenic' is a little more mannered, coming off like Marc Arcardipane driving through an electrical storm at 140bpm, and 'Product Configuration' enters a wormhole of deep blue, phasing Juno magic. Ace twelve this.
