Boomkat Product Review:
Despite the fact that everyone seems to be talking about Dorian Concept, he's an elusive little bugger with only a smattering of tracks available here and there and, up until now, just the one readily available 12" (which sold out before we even managed to give it a proper listen!) Good job, then, that fledgling imprint Affine has put together this tight EP, providing more evidence (were it needed) that Dorian Concept is at the very top of the whole Wonky movement, sitting alongside the likes of Hudmo and the All City label with a fine line in futuristic beat production and scuzzy, dayglo synths that seem to be on everyone's agenda in early 2009. The pick of the bunch is "Chocolate Milk", a nervous little bugger revolving around a stammering beat and edgy keys that add a much needed wrongness to proceedings. Flying Lotus heads out there - Get in!
