Boomkat Product Review:
Tightest, mutant Bass hybrids straight outta Croydon, South London, courtesy of man like Deft. Coming from the epicentre of Dubstep it's not hard to hear its influence on opener 'Crown Point', but most crucially it's halfstep pressure is retuned with whirring Trap percussions and Footwork pneumatics for some shocking new style, explored in more synth-heavy, Kuedo-like angles on the stunningly sci-fi futuristic 'No Solace', while 'The Count (Bounce)' and the hyperventilating funk of 'Masquerade' pull no punches with their breakneck, warp-speed momentum and twyst-out jungle torque. For measure 'Dionysus Park' drops down to a banging 130bpm nudging the haughty force of Ballroom into a techier, complex structure. Fans of Om Unit, Massacooramaan, Spinn, Kuedo, Krampfhaft- your time!
