Boomkat Product Review:
Opening track 'Anything' skips into action with a thinned out string sample that provides a backdrop for the usual litany of MC platitudes and declarations of proficiency. "I'm better than you in the bedroom/I'm better than you on the mic" goes the taunt. While listeners of an exceptionally generous, Ned Flanders-like nature might be willing to entertain giving the vocalist the benefit of the doubt on his first supposition, the latter boast rings eminently hollow. Perhaps instead of repeatedly announcing the superiority of his MC skills we'd all be better served by him actually demonstrating that at some juncture. More hot air and aggro litters the remainder of the EP (with 'Bitch' just about raising a smile for name-checking Wigan), and by the time you arrive at an instrumental airing of 'Hijack' you'll be glad to hear the bassline in all its Black & Decker glory, without the vocals causing clutter.
