Magna Encarta
Wow I remember Encarta… that PC Encyclopedia that you used to think could help with your homework but really had about two lines on each subject. Then Wikipedia came along and changed everything, rendering poor old Encarta obsolete! Well Errors have written the long-forgotten piece of home computing history a theme song, or at the very least an obituary, and true to their prior form it’s an analog-electonic flecked romp through instrumental weirdo pop. The band has always been hard to classify, and now it’s even harder. Way weirder and less specifically ‘cold wave’ than Cold Cave and much more contemporary sounding than Emeralds it’s hard to put the Glasgow lads into a bracket – best thing to do is buy this single, listen to it very loud and make your own mind up. It’s great, by the way.
