Boomkat Product Review:
White-hot Russian grime bangers from Slimzee-cosigned Moscow Legend and up-and-comer Trizna, with a beefy remix from Hi Tek Sounds boss East Man.
Who knew grime was kicking off in Russia? "Made in Moscow" showcases two of Russia's grimiest exports here, with Moscow's kick-heavy 'Krush' kicking things off. It's a peak time belter, taking cues from Youngstar's 'Pulse X' and Mumdance's 'Take Time' but adding a sh*tload more lasers. East Man's rework might be even better, adding some overdrive to the low end and fattening it up for the rave.
On the flip there's a double-header from Trizna, who goes skeletal on 'Massive', building his beat from distorted TR-909 sounds, gunshots and vocal snippets. There's no messing about with emo melodies or pads here, it's absolutely back-to-basics dancefloor grime primed for a voice or a dance. Killer.
