Boomkat Product Review:
This band have improved no end since their very Joy Division-like 'Bipolar' single from a couple of years back. Here they not only manage to sound like their own entity, not copying anyone else's style (well, at least not any one specific band's style), they actually sound pretty daring. On this EP you'll find material that stretches from dark, post-punk electronics to astute, industrial-strength minimal techno. 'Lying' takes a willfully despondent female vocal and a slavering, primitive arpeggiator, gelling the two together with an eruptive frenzy of drums. It's an interesting take on disaffected, cold-wave minimalism - something that seems to be in the air at the moment. Very highly recommended.
