Boomkat Product Review:
One of modern techno's outstanding producers sets the ground for his 'Vaudeville' album with two superb productions. Following the increasingly melodic themes of his recent releases for Token, both cuts are sensitively strung-out and driven by uniquely contoured grooves. 'Lullaby' is a brooding, offset roller with vaulted harmonics and shimmering, mercurial melodies harking back to Autechre's 'LP5' but with a smoother, effortless flow, and 'Petrichor' follows suit with another emotionally involved arrangement of ascendent chords, intricate reverbs and a bustling, slinky groove that shows techno doesn't have to be all about the boom boom to be effective.
