Boomkat Product Review:
**Edition of 300** Buffalo Temple play host to Luke Abbott's freer flights of fancy, again, on this gorgeous slab of synth and sax-scapes in collaboration with Portico Quartet's Jack Wyllie.
Recorded surrounding the duo's time at Baleapop festival in France, 2014, their eponymous debut proceeds Abbott's 'Music For A Landscape: Original Soundtrack to The Goob' into solemnly attuned chamber zones with two extended excursions plus a shorter, sweeter vignette.
'Xantako' opens out on the A-side like some melted version of a Golden Retriever track, lonely ribbons of sax underlined with warped electronic synthesis in a humbly expressive, searching style. The concise 'Isaka' works as a well tempered palate cleanser at the mid way, followed by the side-long sweep of crepuscular synth tone, swelling chorales and weeping sax to leave a lump-in-the-throat.
