Boomkat Product Review:
"Lovefood" proved to be the abiding and most distinguished moment of Michael Mayer's hymnal neo-trance album "Touch". Operating along completely distinct considerations of groove at a reduced, slower body tempo this proved easily the most popular track with uk buyers. After long consideration Mayer asked his old friend and companion Matias Aguayo, Dirk Leyers ex-partner in Closer Musik, for a remix. The result is a groove monster, teeming with sassy cool for smart boogie driven crowds. Matias Aguayo again shows off the deeply sexual vibe which permeated the 'Closer Love' album, and still remains our favourite Kompakt longplayer to this day. Here he's clearly been working on some lascivious hip action during his time off - shaking it around a fragile, transparent groove frame of illustrious elegance. The thread of the original song ............. And as things go in the clutches of passion, the liaison forged an illicit, indispensable cover version of Kylie Minogue´s still peerless "Slow". Mayer´s and Aguayo´s vocal adoration of and homage for the australian pop goddess is unmissable and sure to become a stealth weapon for any self-respecting sensual party rocker. It´s out, just remember to take it slow.
