Boomkat Product Review:
Dubstep's most colourful producer splashes a 3rd album of technoid funk on Mala's Deep Medi. As the title suggests, 'Long Live The Jazz' is steeped in the art of jazz proper, a learned, dextrous flex, funk and musicianship out of reach of most bedroom producers, but obviously gushing in abundance from Swindle. It collects the title tracks from his 2012 singles, 'Do The Jazz' and 'Forest Funk' alongside eleven new and exclusive productions featuring vocals from Nadia Suliman, Footsie, Terri Walker and Sam Frank, plus productions assists by Preditah. We find highlights int he flute and talkbox splattered lean of 'Pledge Allegiance' and the tightly wound jungle-boogie romance of When I Fly Away'.
