Boomkat Product Review:
Grime's wild card joker tempers his comical side with a cynical take on the trappings of rap fame in 'Living the Dream'. Armed with a sack of moody productions taking in R&G, house, trap and bashment from Skepta, Rude Kid, Thomas Mellor, Two Seven, and himself, the Murkle Man captures something of the zeitgeist on standouts moments like the haunting/haunted 'Fast Life' with Skepta and Lay-Z, the icily urbane title track or the upfront confessions of his intro, all set to backdrops of cold but emotive electronics and brittle trap sparks, but there are flashes of his feted sense of humour when he sums up the gut-sinking feeling of 'Declined' and on a group show razz out of 'Big Man' with full crew assists from Viper, JME, Skepta, B Live, Lay Z, Flow Dan and Sox.
