Boomkat Product Review:
The first signs of new material from Jamie Lidell since the widely lauded Multiply album, 'Little Bit Of Feel Good' seems to suggest an even more organic, naturalistic approach to Lidell's soul songsmithery than previous jaunts into the realms of funk-tronica. There's nothing retro about Lidell's sound, despite him taking pointers from classic formats. OK, so there's a bit of a Jools Holland Rhythm & Blues Orchestra vibe to all this, but Lidell executes it so well, that only comes across as a positive. The same cannot be said of Senor Coconut who takes charge of the remix on this CD format, who sounds authentically like some mid-20th century Latin American bandleader, with great, piercing horns really stealing the show.
