Boomkat Product Review:
Axel’s primary illumination for his solo debut on Kompakt, comes on side one from a smudgy “redlight”. On first encounter this seems entirely apt, and on closer examination it seems that kompakt have unleashed something of a stealth classic. Jaggy, nagging refrain is topped by a surreal, almost hyperreal synth wash in some ways preparing for the drop, and it’s a head down bass jacking moment, the hihats just about perfect, we can definitely see this laying waste to dancefloors most everywhere you can think. The most outstanding kompakt twelve since Koze’s epic “Late checkout”.
