'Let The Night Roar' is the debut full length album from Dylan Richards, a hugely talented DJ formerly known as Zilla and now producer of murderous bludklart-techno for the Ninja Tune label. This set collects his murderous 12"s of the last 18 months into a tightly controlled blast of stuka diving synthlines and hardcore-as-fook breakbeats interspersed with a slew of new material designed to be ingested in the foulest of moods. Much like his DJ sets, King Cannibal gnaws his way through darkside D'n'B, DJ Scud styled ragga blasts and the sort of tekno that you only hear at Hackney warehouse parties with a visciously stylish vision. The sleek black shapes of 'Murder Us' featuring Jahcoozi is a big highlight, while 'Virgo' ft Face-A-Face is like the Bug on amphetamines. 'So...Embrace The Dirt' perfectly shows the clarity of his technoid ragga vision with a Monolake-meets-D-Bridge killer, 'A Shining Force' tames Current Value styled contortions to perform brutal Ragga ass-moves while 'The Untitled' sounds matches the agression of Limewax with a stylish British twist. Wickedly heavy.
