Boomkat Product Review:
It's Shit And Shine's first album for the mighty Load Records, and what a racket: from the scrappy opening of 'Biggest Cock In Christendom' the album gives every indication that this is going to be amongst the most fearlessly unpleasant material this lot have ever come out with. At times you'll be bombarded with triple-time thrash metal assaults like 'Mr and Mrs Gingerbread Hawaii' and 'Taking Robe Off', both of which expire after a minute or so of Napalm Death-like intensity, while other tracks are really nasty. 'Toilet Door Tits' is a quarter hour of insanely compressed, distorted throbbing, while 'Preventions Arise' is a more stripped-down, sinister affair, featuring a spoken word vocal by Pete Simonelli from Enablers. Thoroughly nasty, and abrasive in the extreme, Kuss Mich, Meine Liebe competes with the most ferocious work of Whitehouse in its ear-shredding boldness.
