Boomkat Product Review:
Sound an alarm - Anti-G is back in the building! Four years after he presented 'Kentje'sz Beatsz' for Planet Mu, the Dutch bubbler comes back on his native Rwina records with a rave's worth of lurid, forward dance trax. In the time since we last heard him, Anti-G has thankfully stuck to his guns with 'Kush In Da Sound' serving six tracks of upfront, in-your-grill hardstyle synth squeaks and Afro-Caribbean torque quite unlike anyone else. They're largely longer than his previous efforts, with three tracks running over 5 minutes, as opposed to under 3 minute, giving more time to canter, bubble and shuffle between the highly kuduro-compatible 'La Duro Electrica', or the acceleration funk of 'Reload The Hype up System', or the hollowed quiet/loud dynamics of 'What the Fack!', whilst the other three keep it right and tight between the Hecker-tickling techno freakiness of 'La Duro Sonido', and panicked air raid funk mode of 'Just a Test'. Overlarge tip to fans of Principe, SOPHIE, PC Music, Mumdance!
