Boomkat Product Review:
Well it was Steadycam who opened up Kompakt's capmpaign for its K2 sublabel and so its appropriate that 10 releases on the man should return with another barnstormer. Along with Gui Boratto, and by popular assent, Steadycam has rapidly become recognised as something of a heavy hitter - here on Rotums Kanoner an offbeat bassline shrewdly winds around a monumental clattering build-up, which reaches delerious tendencies in its final moments. the title cut reclaims an element of shuffle for more four-four purposes, delightful skittering rhythm fills and obligatory bleeps blend over a burping bass - ending with a heads down no frills techno frugger. Big one.
