Boomkat Product Review:
Completing the full tapestry of Kluster's cryptic, hieroglyphic early work for historical reference, their seminal 2nd album of three, 'Klopfzeichen' receives a timely reissue via Bureau B. Originally released in 1971, it features Conrad Schnitzler with Dieter Moebius and Hans Joachim Roedelius exploring the nether regions of improvised cosmic music and prototypical Industrial on modified instruments and homebuilt FX units. 'Kluster 1 (electric music und Texte)' places a spoken word passage read in sharp Teutonic tones by a German lady against a doomy miasma of piano and sparse percussion building in ritualistic intensity over its duration. 'Kluster 2' is a head-gone psychedelic invocation, meditating on industrial noise and chants which sprout angular rhythmic organisms, clanking guitar shapes and blistered noise with visionary scope. A certified classic, highly recommended!
