Boomkat Product Review:
One of the world's, and at least Paris', most influential indie/dance labels marks ten years in the game with their 14th 'Kitsuné Maison' collection. As with tradition, it's a fine mixture of artists new - Saint Lou Lou, Saint Michel, Plaitum - and slightly older - Jamie Lidell, Simon Lord, Punks Jump Up - and with all emphasis on genetically-perfect pop for the disco. In the spirit of 2012, you'll find disco referencing the '70s (Friends' 'I'm His Girl (Jake Bullit Remix)', Lorenz Rhode 'Any Kind Of Pressure (feat. Jamie Lidell)') the '80s (Monde Ideal 'Future Waits', Thomas Azier 'Red Eyes' (Mike Luck Remix), Citizens 'True Romance' (Gigamesh remix)), the '90s (Rebecca Molina 'Fall Right') and that post-e'rything 00's sound (Saint Lou Lou 'Maybe', Is Tropical 'Venezuela' (feat. Get People)), all with a trendy-as-fook 2012 posture.
