Boomkat Product Review:
Ostgut Ton's latest comes from renowned Panorama Bar resident and Klakson label owner Steffi hot off the back of her split with Levon Vincent. 'Kill Me' is a fresh, clean and sparse (but not mnml!) house track, setting Ostgut's in-house chanteuse Elif Biçer over rich, Chicago-debted square bass and late-night groove rhythms, all finished with a pop-friendly lacquer. An instrumental dub mix does it's thing in fine style for those who can't handle vocals, but we'd recommend going straight for the warm and supple 'Crushed Soul Mix', paying tribute to the smooth synths driven styles of Larry Heard, Ron Trent or Chez Damier. Tidy.
