In six spacious, breezy pieces Henrietta Rolla-Smith follows her work on renowned earth documentary ‘Baraka’ with an elegantly poised and delicate suite that sounds remarkably different to her acclaimed Detroit electro and house styles as DJ/producer, Afrodeutsche. There’s an unmistakeable air of Satie in her wilting, melancholic motifs and gently plaintive harmonies, conjuring a sense of serenity and sweeping motion that evokes the glide of carving around on a skateboard. If you’re after bolshy electro, look elsewhere.
