Boomkat Product Review:
We've had a number of killer Brendon Moeller tracks in the office for a good few months now - ever since the release of his immense Rhythm & Sound styled 7" release for the Earsugar imprint. Since then we've had a couple of pristine releases for Echocord and a number of twelves under the Echologist and Beat Pharmacy monikers - but its good to have him back under his own name, this time for Third Ear. The opening salvo of "Jazz" and "Space" dictate the pace for the A-side, the echo-drenched dub influence is still present and correct, but the percussion is much more propulsive and dancefloor-honed, making for crisp and super-spacious Berlin techno of the kind that never fails to grab our attention. Over on the flipside "Pink Noise" ends the twelve with another exercise in measured delay, the result being another super-refined quasi-dub session in 4/4 that's quite easily the best thing on offer here. Ace.
