Boomkat Product Review:
**Transparent Red Vinyl** The dancing public owe a large debt of gratitude to Clone's amazing Classic Cuts series for unearthing and giving new life to some serious house gems. The latest on their schedule is Da Posse's awesome 1988 release 'Strings', held in high regard as one of the best examples of the cross-pollination between Chicago and Detroit in the late 80's. As most heads will tell you, it's generally easy to distinguish between the sound of the two cities at this time, but 'Strings' conflates the two with a typically ruff Chi-town pattern complemented by Derrick May styled Detroit strings, heavily influenced by Rhythim Is Rhythim's 'The Dance'. It's an absolute nugget, and next to the killer 'It's My Life' and tracky banger 'The Groove' this is quite an essential bit o' wax!!!
