Boomkat Product Review:
First digital reissue of Daniel Menche's 2003 album 'Invoker' for the Antifrost imprint. These three tracks are typical of Menche's highly considered and ornately sculpted approach to noise construction. 'Invoker 1' travels from super-low systolic subbass pulses to glassy harmonics and densely textured noise guided by a masterful hand which makes each progression seem so unforced and natural. 'Invoker II' casts a towering shadow of droning tones and shivering strings which open into intensely colourful harmonics before subsiding into viscous subs. 'Invoker III' fills the audio spectrum from morphing subs at the base to effervescent hi's before gathering into galloping gabber concatenations and draining into spherical bass sounds that Oren Ambarchi would be proud of.
