Boomkat Product Review:
Ricardo Villalobos takes Baris K and co.'s Turkish psych project, Insalar right out there across three sides, backed with an etched D-side by Katharina Immekus. The original 'Kime Ne' was recorded live at Mini Muzikhol, Istanbul, in 2010.
It adapts verses by the seventeenth century poet Kul Nesîmî. 'Insalar' means 'humankind', 'kime ne', 'so what', 'what of it'. Villalobos rends the 23-minute original nearly three times the length in a slowly blooming 3D soundsphere.
