Boomkat Product Review:
In case you don't know, Ossie is one of the UK's finest yung beat breakers. His 2nd EP of the year, and 2nd for Hyperdub is proof, if it were needed, of his prowess. While a painfully large number of producers are playing and making house music with a go-through-the-motions conservatism, Ossie's motioning the dance with deadly guile and swerve here; from the body-synched devilishness of 'Ignore' with its rude-ass mid/low-end spurts and clattering drums, all scrawled with neon synth slashes, to the proper demented, axis-bending broken beat house funk of 'Find It', this guy's doing it wilder and wickeder than the rest. Honestly, we wouldn't call half of the chugging, line-dancing bollocks out there "dance music" - if you want something to really cut a shuffle to, look no further. DJs: ask yourselves, are they dancing, or are they DANCING?!
