Boomkat Product Review:
Kompakt's bubbling, pouting pop subsidiary continue to court the disco audience, and summon three suitable remixes to broaden the already sizeable appeal of this nice twelve. The original should find favour with the small legion which picked up on Justus Kohncke's 'Homogen', tender wah-wahed soul-disco, with a vocal much closer to bernard sumner's style of awkward grace. Geiger strips it back minimal style while DJ Koze's remix bears more than a passing resemblance to New Order's epic 'Thieves Like Us' in its atmosphere, no bad thing to this pair of manc ears. The Noise version courts the loud-quiet axis, like fennesz in its tendency for finding tender ambience in the loudest wall of volume imaginable. Check.
