Boomkat Product Review:
'Check Out My Keychain' is an eccentric blend of brittle, grimy electronics, skanking guitars and the kind of pop falsetto that's dangerously close to Har Mar Superstar. The appropriately named follow-up, 'A Superstar' only consolidates all that, though at least there's a decent amount of thump to the production which throws in some nice synth-funk touches whilst grinding away with sub bass here and there. 'Holla' is the best of the bunch, delivering frazzled, stumbling hip hop that asks "If you're tired of all the retro shit, holla" along with a slew of other crowd-baiting shout-outs. You sort of wish there was an instrumental version because truly the production towers over the superfluous vocal.
