Boomkat Product Review:
Smartly up-to-date and downslow dream-pop from Luxembourg's Victor Ferreira aka Sun Glitters. Pledging no small allegiance to the Tri Angle sound of o0o00 or Holy Other, the 'High EP' is all about that body owning downstroke; rhythms which feel as though they're about to collapse under their heavy-hearted melodic sentiments but somehow sustaining the will to plough forth through molasses atmospheres towards the glimmer of helium vocalled hope in the distance. We hear this best on the speaker-kneading slow R&B throb of 'High', while 'It Takes Me' feels as though it's torn between emotions and the voices in his head, trapped in that "too slow?" or "too fast?" zone that's causing us much consternation with the 33-or-45 ambiguity of B-side 'They Don't Want To Let You Know'. Remixing 'It Takes Me', Mmoths render his sound with more wide open space for heads to float out into across his deeply blue dreampop electronics.
