Boomkat Product Review:
The legendary 2000 And One aka Dutchman Dylan Hermelijn is one of Europe's longest serving house and techno producers, releasing classic records on the seminal Eevo Lute Muzique and through his own 100% Pure empire while nurturing production talent in his native Amsterdam and more recently releasing tracks for Len Faki's Podium imprint and his own revitalised label. 'Heritage' is his first album, coming some 20 years after his first productions but still blending house sensuality with a techno drive and spirit afforded through years of experience. 'Honey Bush' should definitely appeal to all fans of Tobias Freund with its muscular bass shift and warmest house vibes, while tracks like 'Spanish Fly' are just made to get spots like Panorama bar in a very hot and sweaty lather with hints of old skool updated for 2000 and Nine. 'Egusi' sounds like Sleeparchive getting funky, while 'Dat Na Poku' is prime tackle for those needing a fix of Radioslave style tribalism or Green Velvet style percolations and classic Todd Terry samples on 'State Of House'. The quality meter is set exceptionally high for all followers of real deep and heavy technohouse for the club. Ace.
