Boomkat Product Review:
Motor pounders and dark room grinders from Anthony Parasole under his new moniker Full EFX
Taking his debut bow on L.I.E.S., Parasole supplies a diverse set of high impact workouts and skudgier turns swivelling from full blooded techno to mutoid electro variants and kinkier, grungy house. They fall square into the label’s category of hard working DJ tools with something for every jockey to grasp onto.
The throttled techno of ‘Headrush’ shares a pressure level with the the snarling electro-techno pump of ‘Light Bright’, and taut acid techno recoil of ‘Steel Sharpens Iron’, while the bendy, gurgling percolator ‘For a Second’ or the Levon Vincent-esque shunt of ‘No Love’ and ‘Friends’ are built for darkroom frolics, and ’Skytel Pager’ hits a seam of sleazy slow slunk for good measure.
