Boomkat Product Review:
Super-criss, halfsteppin' house and bass moves from Bath's Troy Gunner, following a sterling debut 12" on Mindset. There's a real earnest soul to these three cuts. Whether it's the aching vocal samples, the clinically contoured production or the cockle-warming chords, we're not sure, but man's got a really sweetly endearing sincerity to his sound. The playful strafe and tumble of 'Headlights' is the big joint, but the crackly intimacy of 'Thank You For Nothing' and the poppin' lan of 'Elixir' will also neatly suffice those gone-midnight moments. One for fans of Two Inch Punch, Synkro, James Blake.
