Boomkat Product Review:
Looking very much the melancholy soul on the album artwork, Trentemøller displays another side to his party techno persona with an intimately personal and expansive set inspired by harbour boat trips in Copenhagen, as far as we can tell. Opening with Grouper's 'Heavy Water/I'd Rather Be Sleeping' is a good move, setting a shuffle tempo shoegaze vibe that continues with tracks from Gravenhurst, Emiliana Torrini, Beach House and The Brian Jonestown Massacre's 'Anemone'. The mix twists towards slightly darker electronics with the Nic Endo remix of The Raveonettes 'Aly, Walk With Me' and Suicide's lean 'Cheree', before adding cuts from Caribou remixed by Four Tet, more Suicide, a rather criminal cover version of Joy Division's 'She's Lost Control' by Trentemøller with the Raveonettes and more from Two Lone Swordsmen, Khan and even a bit of Soft Cell.
