Boomkat Product Review:
This Belfast band cite the likes of Beat Happening, Black Tambourine, Felt and Josef K among their influences, and they filter these points of reference through their music in a very successful manner indeed. 'Don't Let Me In' launches the EP with some Jesus And Mary Chain-via-sixties-girl-group drumming and a memorable, effortlessly simple chorus. Next, 'Warm Hands, Cold Heart' takes on a more rockin' trajectory, launching into a big old riff - which catches you a bit off-guard given the C86 comparisons elsewhere. Over on the flipside you get 'I Guess' and 'Graveyard', which might well be the strongest cut of the bunch, featuring some nice guitar licks and a great, atmospheric reverb that really brings out the melody.
