Boomkat Product Review:
Rugged Kwaito house courtesy of SA's DJ Spoko. Previously, the only place you'd find Spoko was on youtube, or probably the mp3 stick of a taxi driver in South Africa, so it's cool to see these cuts pressed on vinyl. A-side you get the swinging bump and natty melodica-like hooks of 'I Remember' featuring G-Dog, and a haunted gangster house ace, 'Sound Of Our 4-Fathers' to start the dance, and flipside features the lo-slung bass and twinkling marimbas of 'Azange' featuring Magaula & Puzuzu conducting the 'floor alongside a moody, militant 'Batauweng' and the percolating bump of 'Ghombhonyoka', both with Buthi Henesy. Tipped!
