Boomkat Product Review:
Well we've been waiting a little while for something new from boogizm's labelowners s-max and fym, but they're reunited once again and boy does it feel good! S-max kicks off the topside with "jackin' box energy", a surging roller with that telltale production sound - a colourful and emotional journey into deep-space layers of the unconscious, made to jack you to the groove. After a brief industrial interlude the classic electro beats-driven "charlie don't surf" ventures still further into mental surgery, funked up bass topped with assorted fine ingredients for a subtle burner. Fym's side explores the beauty of the twisted, the unheard - after a beautiful little guitarsong for starters, "move your feet", comes on as a deep, slo-mo housey monster - with that distinctive, positively individual-fym-language. Chords, deepest basslines, joyful little melodies appear, everchanging, unfolding, yet made to "move your feet". "i feel right like (having a party tonight)" features bossa nova guitar lines, chopped up funky old school drumsounds, squeaked vocals and all kind of added audiospice - hatstand music once again from the masters.
