Boomkat Product Review:
This is First solo-artist ep by Paradroid, after contributing "gauss rifle jam" to the various artist Boogizm 006. Right now his first album is being released on plateaux resistance (formerly known as mille plateaux) and another ep to follow in a week or so on the fine Seattle-based Orac label. Here for Boogizm there's further extraordinary clicky, funked up, hi-tek minimal-tech-house. Bitcrushed adventures, a stream of crystalline details progressing into unknown and unheard beauty. Commencing with a houseyish remix from the mighty S-max, funky basslines, detroity chords, vocals whispered by S-max himself make for a well-balanced personal blend of fully contemporary dance-music, ready to burn floors all over the place. Fym's remix is as is his wont - slightly more twisted, a driving and stomping and ready to rock! The flipside features the artists original tracks, more ethereal, shattered fragments of slimline beats, dissected basslines and hovering chords. It's a condensed atmosphere, but blessed with a familiar warmth of places we haven't visited yet...Boogizm we love ya!
