Boomkat Product Review:
The first of two major new drops from the prolific planet mu imprint this week, the as yet un-cloaked Hawerchuk persona fires off 2 headstrong slices of breakstep mayhem. Title track 'four messengers' runs some severely warped bass turbulence under a barrage of nu-skool breakstep drums crisper than a bag of walkers, guaranteed party tackle for any dancefloor from the nu-est of nu-skool breaks to the ruffest breakstep dances. The b-side 'mr leotardo' is one for the aerobic ravers with skippin' Search and Destroy style breakbeat attacks complete with a mammoth darkcore breakdown and an Amen Andrews/Spac Hand Luke approach to sample application. This one's a no-brainer for them what like it bhig, phat and bhassy.
