Boomkat Product Review:
You've had the CD single, mini-CD, 7", 10" and 12", now here comes the vinyl version for those who can't keep up with Trevor Jackson's 'Format' fetish. Collecting 12 tracks, this version marks the illustrious producer, visual artist and video director's most substantial solo release, bar none, of his 25-odd year oeuvre; strafing from killer proto-house rawness in 'Lumiline' to fizzy electro in 'They Came From NY'. It's rudimentary yet adroit man-machine business, consolidating first hand experience of original industrial, hip hop, house, breaks and ambient electronica with an idiosyncratic agenda, resulting in sinuous aces like the subtly venomous 'Lethal' and grubby jaxx of 'Icaro' or bloody-minded technoise in 'Voodoo Racist'. Great stuff.
