Boomkat Product Review:
The very epitome of gnarled bar-room rock excellence, Endless Boogie have toured with fellow arch retro-riffers Circle and Dungen, even having scored themselves a billing at the Slint curated ATP. Their debut album, Focus Level is equal parts fun, jam-time greasiness and head-down, sweet licking fury, making quite an entrance on the sublime '70s rock juggernaut 'Smoking Figs In The Yard', one of the very finest, purest doses of rock & roll you'll hear in 2008. It's just the first stop on an eighty-minute odyssey into stoner heaven. Elsewhere you'll find Bo Diddley-style chuggers like 'Jammin' With Top Dollar' or slightly more disciplined, even progged-up excursions like 'Executive Focus' - the band even occasionally plump for far more concise missives like the Brian-Jones-in-your-garage brilliance of 'Move Back!' which closes the album in glorious style. This might be one of the best rock LPs of the year, people.
